Why Club Ease Exists

Community clubs depend on committed volunteers—but as inboxes, paperwork and compliance requirements continue to scale, it becomes an unfair amount of pressure to put on already stretched volunteers, all while keeping up with member communication and the constant demands of club operations. We see you.

Club Ease was created to provide practical support where it is needed most. We work alongside committees to organise essential administration, improve systems and take manageable pieces of work off the shoulders of volunteers, so you can focus on your community while we focus on the paperwork.

Meet the Team Behind Reef Training & Aquatics

Stuart Casey

Director of Training & Compliance

Stu is a highly experienced aquatic and training professional with over 40 years’ experience in lifeguarding, aquatic operations and vocational education. As Director of Training, he provides leadership across Pool Lifeguard, Water Rescue, First Aid and nationally recognised training delivery. Stu specialises in practical, inclusive training for regional, remote and complex environments, helping trainers and students achieve reliable real-world outcomes.

Calum Docherty

Managing Director

Calum Docherty is the Managing Director of Reef Training & Aquatics and an experienced aquatic safety professional with over a decade of lifeguarding, emergency response and training experience. He has delivered First Aid, Pool Lifeguard, Water Rescue and remote area training across Australia, including regional and remote communities. Calum brings strong leadership in aquatic safety, nationally recognised training, trainer support and practical course delivery focused on real-world outcomes.

Dee Heffernan

Trainer and Assessor

Dee is an experienced trainer with Reef Training & Aquatics, delivering nationally recognised training across Australia. She specialises in Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety, First Aid, CPR and inclusive training for culturally diverse learners. Dee brings empathy, cultural awareness and a learner-centred approach that helps students feel supported and confident.

Sue Kalms

Trainer and Assessor

Sue is an experienced aquatic professional, lifeguard and trainer with over 20 years’ experience in water safety and community training. She delivers practical First Aid and CPR courses across Agnes Water, Bundaberg and Bargara. Sue brings a calm, supportive approach that helps students build confidence in emergency response.

Dr Kamatchi Karnaneedi

Medical Director & Student Welfare Lead

Dr Kamatchi Karnaneedi is a qualified medical practitioner and Medical Director for Reef Training & Aquatics. She provides medical oversight across First Aid, CPR and emergency response training, supporting safe, evidence-informed course delivery. Kamatchi also supports student welfare, helping ensure training is inclusive, culturally safe and appropriate for diverse communities.

Michelle Casey

Accounts Manager

Michelle Casey is the Accounts Manager and Administration Lead for Reef Training & Aquatics, bringing over 35 years’ experience in administration, operations and client service. She supports course bookings, client communication, invoicing, reporting and participant management across our training programs. Michelle keeps the behind-the-scenes systems organised, helping ensure training delivery is smooth, responsive and professionally managed.
